Susan Fenwick
Susan graduated from the Kent Institute of Art and Design in 2001 after studying for a Degree in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Design. She moved to Brighton in 2003 and joined the lively and creative group of metalworkers known as Brass Monkeys Studio in 2005. The pieces are made by hand, using precious metals and techniques including forming, surface decoration and , recently, granulation using 22ct gold. The inspiration for the design comes from quite diverse subjects in which she sees elegance of form and simplicity of line, such as the Arum Lily, contemporary architecture and microscopic plant images.
